Socrates (469-399 BC) challenged the thinking of his contemporaries by posing penetrating inquiries. In this way he aimed to strip absent the prejudices every one of us carry to our thinking. He designed the “Socratic method”, dependant on inquiries and dialogue, as an alternative to on lectures and
